Weight Loss Pill Customers Could Be Getting Refunds

Over 11,500 customers who bought Double Shot weight loss supplements can expect to receive refund checks soon as part of a settlement agreement between the Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) and companies run by Manon Fernet. The $500,000 settlement is a result of a complaint filed against Fernet and her company, Freedom Center Against Obesity, for deceptive claims that users can eat as much as they want of any type of food and still lose between 15 and 20 pounds without exercise, simply by taking Double Shot.

According to the FTC’s announcement, Rust Consulting, Inc., redress administrator for this case, will mail refund checks to eligible consumers beginning February 20, 2015. Recipients are encouraged to cash their refund checks by April 21, 2015, or the check will be void. Consumers can call 866-684-6674 with questions about the refund.
