Employee Spotlight September - Nicole Pitts

Nicole Pitts - Employee of the Month

BCA’s Employee of the Month for September is Nicole Pitts.  Nicole is our Senior Business Practice Analyst and Editor of our newsletter, the Business Link.  She has been with Business Consumer Alliance for 13 years.  Kim Burge, Vice President of Business Practices, characterizes Nicole as “selfless” and always willing to suggest innovative ideas.  She started working in our Customer Service department in 2002 and quickly transitioned to our Business Practice department in 2003.  In 2013, with the retirement of our former editor, the torch was passed on to Nicole to continue the tradition of writing informative articles and resource guides that benefit the public.

Her supervisor, Kim Burge, has this to say about Nicole:

“She is always suggesting ways to innovate our services and looks out for different ways to market who we are through Facebook or other forms of advertising. She creates flyers and information related to the services we offer.  Nikki always has great ideas to share and I enjoy hearing them. I value her dedication and admire her growth. Thank you for being with us for over a decade.”

In her spare time, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid reader and fan of thriller novels.  She also enjoys cooking, watching movies and solving  Sudoku and logic puzzles.  When asked about what the most fulfilling part about working for BCA is, Nicole replied, “Knowing that we have and do make a difference. We do a lot to educate both consumers and businesses on ethical practices and issues. It’s fulfilling to hear that you’ve assisted someone. It’s equally gratifying when we uncover and nail the scams out there. It’s also nice to see how we have evolved as a business and how we continue to do so.”
