Employee Spotlight: November 2016

Kim Burge Employee Spotlight

Business Consumer Alliance’s Employee of the Month for November is Kim Burge.  Kim is our Vice President of Operations and has been with our organization since August 1993.  Kim is responsible for overseeing both our Customer Service and Business Practice departments.  She has extensive knowledge with investigating trends for a broad spectrum of business industries, evaluating business background information and counseling companies to improve their business practices.  Kim also actively participates with various government agencies and law enforcement investigations to protect consumers from fraud in the marketplace.

Kiry Peng, President and CEO, has this to say about her, “Kim is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to consumer rights and various industry trends.  Her attention to detail and diligent efforts in every aspect of her duties results in top quality work that is appreciated by business owners, consumers and our staff.  She’s a treasured asset to the Business Consumer Alliance family.”

Kim’s favorite hobbies include hiking nearby trails and gardening.  When she has time, she’ll take the Palm Springs tram up to the top to hike those trails as well.  Some of her favorite junk foods include macaroons with chocolate, French fries from Five Guys and coconut haystacks.

When asked about what the most fulfilling part about working for BCA is, Kim replied, “It is rewarding to see the government shut down a business and obtain restitution for victims that complained to BCA.  I feel good when we are able to save a customer from getting scammed because they called us first to check out a business.  I enjoy processing reviews for the many wonderful member businesses we have that deserve the recognition and praise.  It’s satisfying to know that I work for an organization that exemplifies great customer service and a staff that cares and makes a difference in the lives of the people and businesses they help every single day.”

Thank you, Kim, for your contributions to the BCA family and your diligent efforts in keeping our operations running smoothly.
