Hello Wanda. To answer your question, of course not. A company does not have the right to harass a consumer regarding a negative review posted about their business. You are simply exercising your right to free speech and sharing your honest experience and opinions. A company can make claims of defamation or challenge the validity of a review, so it is important to make sure the review you’re posting is a factual account of your experience. If the harassment by the company continues, consider writing a certified letter to the owner of the business demanding they stop contacting you or you will file a report with the police department for harassment.

I hope this information is helpful. Please contact me directly at vantillon@checkbca.org if I can be of further assistance.
