Had bath tub refinish done and new drain installed. Water pools at flange & standing in 3 ft of water while showering. Wrong drain was installed. Eleven e-mails back and forth and company refuses to correct problem. I was told that I should just pull drain system out myself. This is unacceptable. Also told they are not plumbers but tub refinishers and this same problem has happened with other customers and that I had an older home and tub had sunk but not pipes and this was causing the problem. I was not told this when installer came to house to give quote for project. Why was I not told? Had no problem with drain or water draining out before the new install. What recourse do I have to get problem resolved? Do not want to pull drain out myself as they also suggested. They did say that if water left in tub over 1000 hrs the finish would start to soften and I needed to hand wipe water out of tub after each bath/shower. This also not acceptable.
