If the dentist office does not reply on my complaint what is my next step?

In the event that the dental office does not respond to your complaint, I suggest that you follow-up with the Virginia Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division: https://www.oag.state.va.us/consumer-protection/index.php/file-a-complaint The Virginia Board of Dentistry may be able to offer additional assistance or recommendations: https://www.dhp.virginia.gov/PractitionerResources/Enforcement/FileaComplaint/ To contact the Enforcement Division call 1-800-533-1560 or (804) 367-4691. It is worth noting that due to the HIPPA Privacy Rule, medical and dental offices are limited to the amount of information they disclose to a third party. As of today, 10/09, we have not received a response from the dental office. However, they are still within their timeframe to respond.
