Hello Miguel. Thank you for contacting us. I suggest looking up what the “cooling off” period is in your state. In California, this law prohibits a dealer selling or leasing any vehicle that qualifies for this contact cancellation without first offering this option to the customer. I don’t know how long ago you purchased the vehicle and what the terms are of the contract agreement you signed. I recommend reviewing your contract and carefully read the section that pertains to cancellation. Are you cancelling within the time specified in the agreement? What kind of fees will be involved? Will you be required to pay a restocking fee? Also be sure to have your copies of the original contract, copy of contract cancellation option agreement (if purchased)and any other related documents. Further, I suggest looking up what the “cooling off” period is in your state. In California, you have the right to obtain a contract cancellation agreement. This law prohibits a dealer selling or leasing any vehicle that qualifies for this contact cancellation without first offering this option to the customer. Keep in mind, if you take this option, you will have to pay for it.I’m including a link to our Resource Guide on “Used Car Buyers Bill of Rights”. The guide does pertain to California law, but contains tips and information readers from every state should find useful: https://www.checkbca.org/tips/auto/used-car-buyers-bill-of-rights-159Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
