Good Morning Nikisha. Thank you for your question. According to their website, the United Nations Democracy Fund ( UNDEF) funds, designs, manages, mentors and generates projects that contribute to strengthening democracy. They are located in New York

On their website, the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF) warns about various correspondences, such as email, internet websites, text messages and regular mail or fax being sent out by scammers that are fraudulent. To help identify that the correspondence you received could be fraudulent, the UNDEF has a fraud alert on their website: https://www.un.org/en/sections/about-website/fraud-alert/

Here are some key notes:

• The United Nations does not charge a fee at any stage of its recruitment process
• The United Nations does not charge a fee at any stage of it procurement process
• The United Nations does not request any information related to bank accounts or other private information
• The United Nations does not offer prizes, awards, funds, certificates, ATM cards, scholarships or lotteries
• The United Nations does not approve military vacations or pensions, or release packages in exchange for a fee

The UNDEF strongly recommends that recipients of such solicitations, use extreme caution. To reach UNDEF directly, call 212-963-3399 or via email at democracyfund@un.org

If you have additional questions, I can be reached directly at vantillon@checkbca.org
