Hi Angela. Thank you for your question. The American Bar Association provides a directory of their approved paralegal education programs. When you have found schools that interest you, reach out to them and ask questions, specifically regarding military benefits which I know is important to you.

From what I have read a degree from an accredited college is almost always a requirement for earning a paralegal certification such us Certified Paralegal, Certified Legal Assistant, and Registered Paralegal.

As I’m sure you’re aware there are online paralegal schools and campus based paralegal schools. An online school will save you time and money and may offer more flexible scheduling to fit around your life. An on campus program will naturally provide the in-person contact with the instructors and interaction with classmates. Depending on your financial situation, tuition costs vary depending on whether the on campus program is private or public.

I hope this information is helpful. I’m confident you will find exactly what you are looking for.

Please contact me directly at vantillon@checkbca.org if I can be of further assistance.
