what happens if the company i filed a complaint on does not reply in a timely manner

Vickie, no response from the business is a good indicator that further action is necessary. By further action, I mean filing a complaint with the Consumer Protection Division in your state: https://www.texasattorneygeneral.gov/consumer-protection and/or depending on how far you wish to pursue the complaint, taking the company to court is another option. Keep in mind that submitting a complaint against a business does not guarantee a resolution will be reached nor is the business obligated to respond.

Unfortunately, not every business is going to take the time to address a complaint. Should they, yes, but not every business will.

In the event the business does not address the complaint you filed with BCA, we will keep the complaint on file and report it for three years. The allegations in the complaint will be visible on our website. This is done so the general public is aware of the type of complaints a business has received, and how the business did or did not address.

Your complaint against Dallas Nails Spa is still open. Should the company respond, we will notify you immediately.
