How much time do a party have to responed once they are notified of a complaint filed against them? and if they refuse to responed what happens then?
Hello Eric. Thank you for contacting us. Currently, the company is still within their timeframe to respond. We allow twenty business days for a company to reply to a complaint. It Is important to remember that filing a complaint does not guarantee the issue will be resolved. The company may respond by disputing the allegations or choosing not to respond at all. If this were to happen with your complaint, further action is necessary. Each state has consumer protection laws to protect their citizens and often will assist consumers with filing a complaint against a business located in their state. I am including a link to the Illinois Attorney General Consumer Protection Division: http://www.ag.state.il.us/consumers They may be able to assist further if necessary.Again, the company is still within their timeframe to respond. It could be that they are simply looking into the matter and will issue a response when they have reached a conclusion.
