Used car dealership sold car without title

I bought a used car from dealership 09/02/2022. Paid $6834.00 cash drove home with the promise I would be receiving the title in 3 weeks. Yesterday they texted me and they have the title for me to pick it up or they will send it to DMV. I'm wondering if I could be compensated for how long I've had the car not being able to register it or license it 6months ago?
