What can i do?

Recently i got hurt on the job. And the owner fired me. Now he didnt say he had insurance. He just said dont come back. Whay can i do??
If he ruins my chance at working at another shop. Is he ruining my character to which the shop wont hire me?

Daryl, thank you for contacting BCA. It’s illegal for your employer to punish you or fire you for having a job injury. If you have a work-related injury or illness, your employer is required by law to pay for workers’ compensation benefits. There is assistance available. I recommend you contact the California Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) .
