After I filed my co.plaint I've been waiting for the company to respond. What happens if they don't respond? And how long do they have before you your company responds to that? And what are the consequences for that If any?
Good Afternoon. Thank you for your inquiry. Companies are allowed up to twenty business days to respond to a complaint. Your complaint was filed on June 11, so the company is currently within their timeframe to respond. In the event that the company does not issue a response, you can escalate the complaint to the California Department of Consumer Affairs: https://www.dca.ca.gov/It is important to understand that filing a complaint does not guarantee a resolution. Unfortunately, some companies will not respond to a complaint at all or may issue a response that disputes the allegations in the complaint.
