I was scammed by a high pressure salesman fromSkyline Security, I signed a bunch of stuff Which they are holding against me How can I get out of a contact with them
Hello Robert. Thank you for your question. Honestly, it can be difficult to challenge a contract. Once a contract goes into effect, and the customer has signed off on it, the company is going to hold you to the terms and conditions of the contract. At the company’s discretion, they may agree to release you from the contract, but at a price. I am including a link to our resource guide on “Cooling-Off” rules that pertain to California law: https://www.checkbca.org/tips/contracts/22cooling-off22-rules-72 Under federal law, consumers are allowed three days to cancel purchases of $25 or more made at your home, workplace and this also applies when you invite a salesperson to make a presentation in your home. From my research, I see that you have filed a complaint against Skyline. We will contact them on your behalf. Your allegations and proposed resolution will be presented to them, and as soon as we hear back from them you will be contacted. In the next 24 to 48 hours you will receive an email from us with your complaint ID number.BCA has processed several complaint against Skyline Security Management and for the most part, the company has been responsive to our correspondence.
