Hi Ignacio,
So sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. If you have not done so already, calmly discus the problem with the business and what you would like them to do to resolve the matter. You can do this by phone and follow up with an email or letter to the company. If this is not effective, you may file a complaint with BCA and we will reach out to the business on your behalf for a response.

You may also file a complaint with the licensing or regulatory board in your state that oversees contractors in your state. There are also options to file with your state’s Attorney General’s office. Lastly, you may seek remedies through filing a claim in Small claims court.

I have called several times and spoke with several customer services representatives as well as supervisors and I have been ignored. my insurance First American Home warranty hired Sunrise HVAC LLC to install my furnace and never finish the vent installation up to code. I paid them and they refused to finish the job.
I can not use my furnace because of hazardous fumes of carbon monoxide.
I would really appreciate if you call them on my behalf.

Thank you,

Hi Ignacio,
We received the complaint you filed against Sunrise HVAC LLC and have reached out to the company. We are waiting to see if they will respond to our request for resolution.

I was able to pull up their license #239392 with the OR Contractor’s Board and it is active with no complaints filed in the last 10 years. (http://search.ccb.state.or.us/search/search_result.aspx). You may wish to submit a complaint to the Board, which is the regulatory entity for the industry. Here is the link for more info on filing with the OR Contractor’s Board: https://www.oregon.gov/ccb/complaints/Pages/how-file-a-complaint.aspx

OR law required that if you are filing against a residential contractor, you must first send the contractor written notice by certified mail that you plan to file a complaint. The law requires only that the notice be mailed, not that the contractor receives it.

We will keep in touch with you regarding the status of your complaint filed with BCA. I hope this information helps.
