Avoid At All Costs

During his measure and estimate Dave the owner represented to my wife and myself that they would break down the bed and move all furniture. He wrote on his estimate "A&M To Move Furniture For All Areas". We gave them $1500 against the job to order the carpet, installation scheduled for Sat Nov 22. Having brought my brother down from Oxnard via train to help move items, we were boxing and preparing on Wed Nov 19 when I received a call from Donna at A&M informing me that they wouldn't move the bedroom furniture and offering a $90 credit, which would not cover professional handling of the same. They broke their verbal and written contract three days before installation, after I'd terribly inconvenienced my brother for assistance. I subsequently advised Dave the owner that he'd be sued for the difference if we had to pay more for the same carpet and pad elsewhere, and he asked that I call him for a check prior to suit. Do NOT use this business for your flooring needs. Unscrupulous, unprofessional, dishonest.
