We were contacted by A Sweep Above Maintenance, offering a chimney cleaning for $49 (which seemed extremely low for this service). We asked why so low - they said it was a promotion. We then gave the information the scheduling person asked and made an appt for their service. The first time the serviceman came, they did not keep the appt time frame of 3 hrs and appeared after it, when we needed to attend an engagement of our own. They did not reschedule immediately, but we got another call days later, to reschedule, which we did. Today, when the service person came, we realized he had incorrect assumptions or information regarding our home heating system, and said the service would be higher than $49. He also said we had dishonestly represented ourselves to the calling/scheduling person. His whole demeanor as he grumbled was way less than professional, to the point we had to ask him to leave the premises. As he was leaving he continued to grumble. The company called us 1/2 hr later to apologize, but did not do anything about the affront of their hired serviceman. Remember this was THEIR promotion - I did not ask for this visit; I accepted to try their services.
