The customer states neither the debt consolidation company, Debt Free America or this company could confirm payment was received and as a result, the customer's credit card balances are accumulating.

The company responds to this complaint by denying a refund and referring the customer to Debt Free America. The company states they enrolled the customer into the program, the payment was processed on the agreed upon date, and the initial payment was not applied towards the account and was collected as a one-time fee for financial services. All subsequent payments and processes are handled by Debt Free America. The company states any attempt to reverse the funds collected, in addition to the $99 cancellation fee would be submitted to a collection agency and would result in a negative FICO score.

The initial payment collected from clients does not apply towards the debt, it is retained by this company for their financial analysis services.

California law limits the fees of a non-profit company providing debt management services may charge to California residents.
