Employee Review-Jamie Marsh

To Whom This May Concern, I feel the need to take the time to write a heartfelt recognition letter regarding your employee, Jamie Marsh. I hope what I have to say will make a difference and not fall on deaf ears. Prior to opening my accounts I was told I would receive segregated storage free for 3 years. However, I received statements from Equity Institutional stating that both accounts were in non-segregation. I panicked and immediately called my account rep. He told me not to worry about it. He apologized for the mistake. He said that it would be taken care of right away. He said it was a simple fix. After I spoke with him I received an email from one of his team members. He instructed me to send him an email requesting "segregation" status. I followed his instructions. Two weeks later, I called my rep to ask for an update on the segregation of the metals. He said that it was all taken care of and that he checked on it personally. I asked him if he could send me confirmation. He said that there wasn't anything that he could send me, but he guaranteed it was taken care of. Simultaneously...I sent his team member an email and asked if he could confirm segregation had been completed. His reply was "Your accounts are all in good order." I asked him a second time about the status of my accounts re: segregation and he responded with the same answer. At this point, I had not called Equity for confirmation. I pulled up my accounts on the Equity site which shocked me. Therefore, I called them to see what the status was. This is when I received confirmation that I had been lied to. My metals were not segregated. The woman that I spoke to told me that it was too late for segregation. She said the only way to do that is to move the metals to another storage facility and if I did that I wouldn't receive what I purchased. I was over-the-top nervous and angry. Feeling like we made a horrible mistake choosing American Hartford Gold, I was beside myself. I wasn't sure who to contact so I called my rep again, but a receptionist answered the phone. She told me that he wasn't available. I stated the purpose of my call and let her know that I was a nervous wreck. I asked to speak to someone in management right away. She told me that she would most definitely have someone call me back ASAP and she did. Jamie Marsh called me within minutes of my frantic call. After I expressed my concerns it was like he reached out and took me by the hand and led me to a place of reassurance, understanding, and resolve. His communication skills are outstanding. What he said resonated. I felt he wasn't only listening to what I was saying, I also felt a sincere level of empathy. He understood how frightening it was for us. The conversation I had with the woman at Equity gave me real cause for concern. However, after talking to Jamie I felt assured we would not lose what we purchased and why. He assured me that he would take care of the situation and follow-up with me ASAP. He made me feel very confident that he would stand by his word and he did. He followed through resolving the issues just as he said he would. It is caring conscientious employees like Jamie that truly make a difference not only in the workplace, but life in general. They are a rarity and certainly a valuable asset. He deserves to be recognized for a job very well done. I hope AHG will recognize him as an exemplary employee in some form or fashion. I request AHG follow-up this written accommodation with something that will make a difference in his life. What he did for us made a huge difference and we are certain that he has done the same for many others.
