The California Community Care Licensing Division maintains a database that uses the California Criminal History system to check fingerprints, any substantiated reports of child abuse, and the FBI’s criminal history record of applicants.

But it is still your responsibility to make certain that a caregiver is cleared by TrustLine. Nannies and babysitters placed through employment agencies must be listed on the TrustLine registry or be a current applicant.
