Company states; In the complaint, you state your belongings were stolen, & this led to the fraudulent opening of several credit accts, including a WebBank/Fingerhut FreshStart installment loan acct. You also state you didn't provide permission for this acct to be reported to the credit bureaus & request it be blocked & deleted. In the complaint, you state your belongings were stolen, and this led to the fraudulent opening of several credit accounts, including a WebBank/Fingerhut FreshStart installment loan account. We have responded to multiple disputes which were filed through the credit bureaus from March 8, 2022, to February 9, 2024. We have no record of receiving any written direct disputes from you On February 17, 2023, documents alleging identity theft were received through Equifax and forwarded to our Fraud Department for an investigation. Based on their investigation and due to the information above, the claim was denied, and a letter was sent to North 11 Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140. On December 26, 2023, documents alleging identity theft were received through Equifax. As there was no new or additional information provided, the claim was denied, and a letter was sent to North 11 Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140. On February 5, 2024, a dispute alleging identity theft was received through TransUnion and was referred to Fingerhut's Fraud Department for review. As there was no new or additional information provided, the claim was denied, and a letter was sent to North 11 Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140. We are unable to comply with your request or to revise the information being reported to the credit bureaus, as we are required to furnish accurate reporting. Please reference the Reporting and Monitoring section in the terms and conditions. The Terms and Conditions can be viewed at https://www.fingerhut.com/content/footer-terms. According to an account review, Experian and TransUnion are accurately reporting the WebBank/Fingerhut FreshStart installment loan account ending in 2627 as Paid and/or Closed with a zero balance. Experian and TransUnion are accurately reporting the WebBank/Fingerhut FreshStart installment loan account ending in 2803 as Purchased by Another Lender with a
balance of zero. Equifax is not reporting either of the accounts.
