Horrible Service

First of all, CAT is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They don’t even deserve one star for service. They have horrible customer service skills. I’ve been jerked around, put you on hold for 10-15 minutes per call. No follow up as promised, told parts would be in the following week and never arrived with no decency to call and say there was a delay. I even asked that they have the manager call me back, and no one called. I was so upset the other day, they told me they put me on hold because I was yelling at them out of frustration. They don’t care about their customers. The following are two separate situations I have dealt with CAT about.
My first call to CAT was in March of this year. My oven was not heating up. My husband said the motherboard and igniter were not working. I called CAT, and they sent someone out to look at my stove. The tech was here for a while checking everything while on the phone with his boss every step of the way. The diagnosis was confirmed, I received a call for CAT asking if they could send out two more techs to confirm the diagnosis. I asked them why they would employ someone out that they don’t trust to make a correct diagnosis. They came out and confirmed the diagnosis, but took two months to get the parts. Every time I called, I was put on hold forever, told the part was on back order and couldn’t tell me when they would be in or they would tell me every week it was coming in and didn’t. Finally I spoke with a manager who followed up with the distributor and said they would have the parts in a week which finally happened and were finally installed,
The second call, was in August of this year for my dishwasher which was making grinding noises. The tech who came out was a nice guy and took a lot of time to take the motor and pump out. Of course when he arrived, the dishwasher wasn’t making much of a noise as originally heard. The soap dispenser was almost full every time I went to empty the dishwasher. The tech said I needed new sprayers and maybe a new soap dispenser. He was going to order the sprayers. Things seemed ok for a couple of weeks. Then it started again. I called the tech directly and told him the dishwasher was making noise again. I also called CAT. They told me the ticket had already been closed. I asked my tech to call them, explain the situation and order the parts needed. It is now the end of November and I have still not received the parts. I have called several times, left messages and received not return calls. I called once and was told there was one call ahead of me. Then another person picked up and said there were several calls ahead of me. I told her I was told there was just one. I was told the parts would be in a week ago and they would arrange the tech to come out on Thursday This was last week. By this time, I was ranting and raving and asked for a manager to call me as well as my tech. I didn’t hear back from either of them. I wanted to know the cost of the parts and labor and the I wanted it repaired by tomorrow. I spoke with the manager last Friday 11/14 in which he told me he would have a price for me by this past Sunday. Never heard from him. I text him today and was told he had been out sick and someone was supposed to call me. I said that I expect a tech at my house tomorrow 11/20 or I was going to contact the owner of the company as well as the appliance store that recommended them to me. I called CAT twice today to confirm the Tech I requested would be here this afternoon, when he didn’t show up, I called him directly. He told me he wasn’t scheduled to come to my house today.
This was the last straw. I left a voice mail and text for the manager that I was going to report them to the BBB and post this on all the website reviews pertaining to CAT.
I find it very interesting that all the parts I need, have been on back order for so long. Never, ever again will I use CAT.

Not what they say

They came out as promised, the young man that came out was polite and found the problem, we were told the parts would be in 3-5 days. When we called after 5 days no one knew when the parts would be in. asked about the initial charge going towards the cost of the parts and labor only to find out that wouldn't be happening. WHen waiting to talk to a supervisor or owner I was on hold for over 15 minutes and had to hang up.(I was at work) Its now been almost 3 weeks and no one has called us. Had to use the laundry mat over 15 times so far and its not how customer service is supposed to be handled. Hard to believe they have been in business for so long with this type of service, Stay tuned to see if/when they ever get back to me but in the meantime I'm calling off the charge to my credit card
