Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. If they are considering doing business with the company, consumers can use this indicator to forecast the likelihood of having their issues addressed if a problem arises. CRI measures the company's customer satisfaction abilities through BCA’s complaint mediation process.

A variety of factors are considered when calculating CRI. I paid a small fortune to have my thunderbird 390 motor to be freshened up. It took a lot longer then what was originally quoted. I was also was charged for taking up space while the car was not being worked on. The price when the car was "ready" was triple the amount of the original estimate. The distributor was making a ticking sound with the engine revs. I was told just "drive it and that it was fine, the motor ran good." Two days later the engine shut off. I had the distributor removed and the cam shaft gear was shredded. Causing material shavings to destroy my camshaft. I had no problems before with the distributor and camshaft prior to taking it in. Since all money was spent. I had to remove the camshaft myself. Took it in to show the shop what happened. They responded with that the gearing from the distributor didn't line up with the camshaft and this is why it broke. My question is why did they tell me it was 'done and to drive the car"?! They did not take any responsibility or offer any help. I was told " I am not buying you a new motor". Now I am left with trying to fix what could have been easily avoided in my eyes before the car even left the shop. Now I'm undoing all the work I had paid for. Total screwed. I wouldn't go back here even for an oil change. Resolution Sought I would like my engine to be fixed.
