Funky Sofa Is NOT reliable company to purchase furniture from (You have been warned)
Jack Barton is a poor practicing business owner who seems to have no problem taking advantage of some of his customers. If you do business with this crook, I would strongly suggest that you visit his physical location IF he still has one. Please see my message below for the back story. I have purchased from Funky Sofa (Jack Barton's company) 3 times. He delivered on the first two orders, but my 3rd order placed April 6, 2018, was NEVER delivered. I allowed him 8 weeks for labor before I started contacting him. I talked to him ONCE to which he claimed he would need to call me back; I never heard from him again. I have gone through all the legal steps (BBB, Attorney Gen) and he refuses to respond. It is my strongest advice to NOT purchase anything from this man. I have done research on this guy, he seems to have different companies under different names. They are usually tied to "Calmoda". If you insist on placing an order with him, do NOT let it sit for more than 6 weeks. If he tells you he is going to call you back, and you find yourself putting in a call to him again, GO THRU YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY or BANKER (if using debit) and reverse the charges. In fact, if you are using a debit card, make sure you understand their guidelines for charge reversal; each bank differs. Dealing with him is not worth the hassle. He knows how this works. If you do not live near him, he likely doesn't deem you a THREAT because, in his eyes, he likely thinks NO one is going to travel to sue him for breach of contract. Pay attention to the negative reviews about him not delivering goods, not responding; IT IS THE TRUTH. Jack, you are Pathetic!

Terrible down turn
I ordered a sofa frim Funky Sofa 10 years ago and was very happy with everything so when it was time to buy a new couch, I decided to order from them again. It was truly awful. After the initial 5 weeks I was told it would take to complete my order, I called to find out what the status was. I wasn’t upset if it was going to take a little longer since the tariffs had just started, so there could have been delivery delays. No big deal, custom furniture takes a little longer, but I wanted to get some information on what was happening. No one ever called me back. A completely different company answers the calls and I was lied to repeatedly, being told that no one was available and someone would call me back. Finally one of the reps admitted all they do is send an email and someone is supposed to call. They never did. I texted, emailed and when I called and demanded to speak to a person that actually worked for the company, it was a machine talking to me. Finally I gave up and filed a dispute with my credit card company, which thank goodness is run through my awesome bank. The bank spent weeks trying to get a hold of someone and no one ever called them back either. After the standard investigation period my bank sent me a letter and removed the charge from my card. Never buy anything from this company. I am so disappointed in this experience because the first one I had was great. Maybe new ownership has driven them to poor practices and bad business, but whatever it is, no one should do business with them. They also lie on the website and say they are Better Business Bureau accredited but the link takes you to this website, which is not the BBB! I even filed a complaint with the actual BBB and Funky Sofa never responded to them either. I would give then zero stars if I could.
