Beware ! It's a Scam !

Got a letter also saying I have a refund owed. It just did not look and sound right. They asked for a copy of my Social Security Number and Driver License. I did a research on this Payne Richard & Associates. The register owner of the phone number(916)426-3780 shown on the paper belongs to a person Name Eric Roenker who lives in Carlsbad CA. It does not belong to the person on the paper by the name of Paul Hashim. There is other information on the paper that just didn't add up. Please be aware it is a scam. !

Scam via the net as well as personal.

Rec'd a letter telling me I had a refund of sold stocks from 25 years ago. I knew something was up, called my accountant and then checked here. They will send me a check and only then do I need to pay them a finders fee! When it sounds too good to be true it usually is. The letter and form look so legit, it is harder and harder to distinguish. Thank you for adding to checking points.
