Hi, I bought a leather sofa set from Rooms To Go at your Vero Beach, FL store. I bought the set on 3/7/2020 for $3,060.00 It is a four piece sectional with two motorized chairs on each end. One of the motorized chairs has stopped working. I checked the green light in the back of the chair and it is flashing slowly. I called your Vero Beach store to see if there was a simple solution that I could do to get the chair working but the customer service person said that unless the chair was under an extended warranty they couldn't send anyone out to fix it. I told her I didn't remember being offered a service warranty contract at the time of sale but I would be more that willing to pay for the repair service. She told me that she could not do that, that they only send out repair people if the chair is under warranty. She told me I would have to find a furniture repair company in my area to fix it. I was amazed that Rooms To Go doesn't support their products after sale. I told her that I thought it wasn't good customer service to not have a service technician who knows the chairs available. In any case I have tried to find someone to fix the chair but I am having a problem finding someone in my area. Why can't I pay Rooms To Go for a service repair if you have the technicians at your stores? I am very dissatisfied. Resolution Sought I would like to have a service technician from Rooms To Go try and fix the chair. I will gladly pay for the service. If the green light in the back of the chair is flashing, it should give them an indication as to what is wrong and maybe what is needed to fix it.

Dear BCA, We are in receipt of this complaint. Like most retailers, Rooms To Go offers a one-year warranty for manufacturer’s defects and workmanship as stated on the Terms and Conditions of Sale located on the purchase receipt provided at the point of sale. Theirs expired as of 3.19.23. Since delivery, we show no records of any verbal or written communication in reference to any issues with the furniture until 4.10.24. Please understand that we are solely the retailer. Our technicians are contracted to work solely under the warranty period. Although we value their business and sympathize with their concerns, we apologize for being unable to pursue any action due to the reasons explained above. Thank you for your understanding. Thank you for your succinct answer. I think Rooms To Go's policy of not having available service personnel to deal with product issues for its customers unless the product is under warranty is truly not what a good company does. I deal with many different companies in my line of work. Every one of them has a service warranty agreement in force when an item is purchased. If one of their products has a service issue after the warranty period ends, they allow you to have the product serviced after paying a service fee which is good customer relations. To just give excuses that Rooms To Go's service personnel are not available to customers and that we have to find someone on our own to repair a product, is not good customer relations. I will be sure to leave many different reviews of your service policy online on different websites and social media as a warning to potential future customers that Rooms To Go has no after sale service available after warranty period ends. Maybe someday, Rooms To Go will become a real company that values its customers.

Dear BCA, Our office understands our customer’s views. However, our company is solely the furniture retailer. We are not a repair company nor offer repair shop services. As the purchase contract states, we offer a 1-year warranty for manufacturer’s defects. Service is available under the guidelines of this warranty. Our customer signed agreeing to these terms. Unfortunately, they did not purchase an extended service contract that was offered at the point of sale. We apologize, but regret our position as outlined previously remains unchanged. I went online to shop for a bathroom set and my main concern was picking out the right color. Well, I saw a nice color (gray in nature) and decided to purchase that bathroom set. Well, when it arrived to my home the color was like a dark brown and I was very disappointed. Resolution Sought First, I would like for them to give me a call and offer me an apology for not being honest to the color that they showed on their website and offer me some sort of discount for my bathroom set.
