I rented a storage unit at safe & secure storage inc on January 4th 2021 I paid 82.34, I call the storage unit office and they tell me I got until the 5th to pay for full storage fee for month of February of 91.07. Get told after 5th it would be 120.07. I go to office and pay the 120.07 no one was there so I dropped it in the Dropbox. I got no receipt that day and even reached out to the office and they didn't respond. I then go to my unit and it had a overlock on it so I texted office again about lock on so I could get into my unit. The owner Chip had texted me that he put a lock on it because he didn't think I had locked it properly and that he would get it off soon as possible and that there would be a receipt for payment. I go to storage unit later that day and he had not left a receipt and did not take overlock off. I texted him that night to let him know this is not right service. He then texts me the next day to tell me he finally takes lock off and left a receipt. I expressed to him I do not find it professional that he takes as long as wants to unlock my storage unit and not have a receipt at the time money is paid. I feel this storage unit is unprofessional. And I do find it odd he does not accept debt or credit card and only accepts cash.

To whom it may concern: Brittany, unfortunately did not read her rental agreement when she moved into our facility. Brittany was nearly 2 weeks late on her February payment, so of course her unit was overlocked until she would be able to make her payment. Unfortunately the day she chose to make her delinquent payment, I was at the doctor's office out of town and wouldn't be back until the following day, which made it impossible for me to generate a receipt and unlock her unit at that particular time. However first thing the following day, I removed my overlock, and left her the payment receipt. I have been in this particular business since 2002, and have yet to have a customer make so many bad accusations about our business, especially when she is the one at fault being 1 1/2 weeks delinquent on making her February payment Brittany also sent copy and pasted the same complaint letter to the BBC (Better Business Bureau) in Dayton, Ohio and they CLOSED the case the same day she filed. Inc. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our contract states that when you move into our facility, that you are prorated moving in, but from that point on all other payments are on a month by month basis (1st thru the end of the month). I suspect, that since her complaint was dismissed by the BBB, that she is searching for other business rating services, such as yourself to help her smear our business' reputation.
