BCA's Summary and Analysis:

Some complainants allege they encounter difficulty with cancelling and obtaining refunds due to inability to contact the company, poor customer service, or stall tactics used to allegedly delay issuing refunds. Other customers complain they are advised to include false information on their tax returns to lower their tax liability. Many clients allege the company misrepresents conditions which apply to their money back guarantee policy, and their ability to save customers money on tax libilities. Others report the company fails to perform any services whatsoever, and refuses to provide refunds. Most customers requesting refunds, believe they complied with the return policy. However, the company still denies refunds.

The company responds to complaints by issuing refunds or credits as requested or explaining their return policy. According to the company's Cancellation/Disclaimer Policy, "a member is not entitled to a full refund unless the membership is cancelled before the 30 day trial period ends". All materials must be returned to be eligible for a refund. In order to return the materials, members must call the company and receive a return authorization number prior to mailing the materials back. Under the disclaimer portion of the advertising, the company states, "If the member does not utilize all tax tools and suggestions for one full tax year, the guarantee will not be honored". Consumers should note that refunds are prorated.
