Business Consumer Alliance helped me get my name off a list I should have never been on and I appreciate it.

I understand that the big box stores use a company, The Retail Equation Inc. to keep track of people who return items without receipts. They then make the decision to deny or allow a consumer to return items without receipts. Once you are on the list, you are screwed.
I remodel homes and buy thousands of dollars from Home Depot and Lowes. I do a lot of business but occasionally loose receipts. TRE put me on the list and I couldn't return two calking tubes. The store manager told me they couldn't do anything once TRE put you on the list it would take probably a year to get off of it.
I wrote letters of complaint to the BBC, to TRE and to Business Consumer Alliance. I was then notified by Business Consumer Alliance that I had been removed from the list.
While I appreciate TRE removing me from the list, I should have never been on the list. There is a huge difference between a serial returner and a contractor. TRE needs to develop a system to distinguish between to the two.
I do appreciate the quick response and removal from the list.
