Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. Beware of phony campaign fundraisers and solicitors. These scams typically fool individuals by pretending to be fundraisers or claiming they are associated with an election committee or political party, maybe even a candidate’s representative. They use convincing tactics to fool victims including spoofing caller ID. Even if they know your party affiliation, don’t be fooled by tricksters.

Guard your identifcation and information closely and do not give out your credit card, banking, or personal identification information to anyone you have not researched the person and organization contacting you. If you receive a call asking for donations, contribitions, or requests for your information ask for the callers name, title, and contact information and verify it. You should contact the candidate or political party’s office directly to check on the solicitation or to donate directly.

If you have provided your information and are unsure if it is scam or you find yourself a victim, contact your banking institution right away. You may be able to cancel the transaction if you act immediately. You may need to cancel your card. You should also be on guard for possible identity theft.
