By accepting the ""Free Gift "" you may be agreeing to let the company you called give your credit card account information to another seller. If you don't cancel during the trial period your credit card may be charged by the second seller for the product or service offered fas a gift. When you receive your credit card statement if you don't recognize the seller you may think the charge is an unauthorized transaction. In fact by accepting the free gift you may have agreed to pay if you didn't cancel before the trial period ends.~~Before you give the okay to a free gift or trial offer ask the seller if the gift is related to a membership subscription or extended service contract? Find out if you have to contact the company to avoid receiving more merchandise or services. Make sure you have a clear understanding of exactly when your cancellation deadline ends as well as who to contact and what method of cancellation is acceptable. Once your credit card number has been provided to cover shipping and handling it will remain on file with the seller for shipping and billing purposes.
