Can I file a legal complaint

Hello Tmz.com Has published a story about me stating that I had money which I dont and I asked for there source and they wouldnt give them to me and I am in very bad debt and I dont know what moeny they are talking about

If you would be so kind as to provide us with a link to the story, we can better assess the situation. However, as I’m sure you are aware, TMZ and all other news journalists, in all fields of journalism are protected by the First Amendment and are not obligated to reveal a source. If the allegations are completely untrue and there is absolutely no truth behind the story, you have the option of consulting with an attorney to see if you can pursue a retraction or any other action you deem necessary.
