Consumer Services

Business Consumer Alliance has been assisting the public in resolving complaints against businesses and in finding trustworthy businesses since 1928. Prior to 2013, we operated as the Better Business Bureau of the Southland. We changed our name to facilitate an expansion of the services and programs we provide, and to allow the organization to operate nationally. BCA publishes reports on hundreds of thousands of business nationwide. The reports rate the businesses for reliability and performance. They contain other important information like customer reviews, complaint experience and extensive information on the services offered. All of these reports and all of our services are offered to the public, free of charge.

Reputation Reports

Business Consumer Alliance utilizes a complex algorithm that weighs all relevant aspects of a business. In simplest terms, the algorithm utilizes a series of calculations to arrive at an overall composite score which is displayed as a rating using a scale ranging from AAA to F. The rating represents Business Consumer Alliance’s opinion on the reliability of the business. In other words, it’s a predictor of the outcome you can expect, should you do business with the firm. We also provide customer reviews on businesses which give another unique opinion on a business’ reliability. General background information including required licensing experience will also assist in making an informed decision.
