My name is Barbara and Ford All Star Ford got a hold of me today they left a message saying that they need to drop off a check with some money or else they're going to come and take the car what should I do because I need transportation for my kids
Hello Barbara. I’m sorry to hear of the added stress the dealership is causing. I checked the status of your complaint, and unfortunately we have not received a response from them as of this morning. The whole complaint process can take 10-20 business days so the company is still well within their timeframe to respond. Have you not made any payments or have you stopped making payments? Why is the dealership threatening to repossess the vehicle? Failing to make payments will get your vehicle repossessed and cause you to pay hefty repossession-related charges and also have a negative impact to your credit rating. It is always best to get the advice of an attorney specializing in California lemon law to review your contract for alleged auto fraud committed by the dealership. An experienced attorney will be able to advise you if withholding payments is something you should do, normally you must continue to keep making payments. Barbara, you can also report fraud to the DMV Investigations Division: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/dmv/offices/investigationsoffice. I’m also including a link to our resource guide on Automotive Repair and Your Rights: https://www.checkbca.org/tips/auto/automotive-repair-and-your-rights-34 and Used Car Buyers Bill of Rights: https://www.checkbca.org/tips/auto/used-car-buyers-bill-of-rights-159I hope this information has been helpful. BCA will contact you as soon as we hear from the dealership. I do recommend you contact the DMV Investigations Division for further assistance. Please contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org for further assistance.
Victor thank you for your response to my question they wanted from me a blank check to hold onto until my refund came from Kia for my warranty on the Ford Focus which was $1,800 extra on the selling price of the car $100 deductible by law they have to return that to me so they would hold on to the blank check and until that other check came that's what they wanted from me but now they're threatening to come and take the car they told me August would be my first payment due I tried to return the car to them they didn't want it I still don't understand why they can't give me a used car with the same payment as the Ford Focus they told me the banks wanted me to be safe that's why they had to cell me 2018 car plus it was part of their program they were offering to me because the Ford Focus I bought from Kia has had recalls on it for the transmission and it was running very loud and I didn't want it they called me because they were offering me a program buy back the the Ford Focus and send me a 2018 with the same car payment I thought they were helping me out because they knew I was so unhappy with the car but instead I'm paying for both cars now $48,000 unbelievable they lied to me they tricked me and I took advantage of me their words were we were going to pay off the Ford Focus and put you in a new 2018 car with the same car payment no lie that's what they told me so everybody beware of All Star Ford in Pittsburg California they're tricksters
