I worked at Roadhouse restaurant #33 pa for a yr. No missed work or write ups & was dismissed. A coworker was living with me who was a drunk & I evicted her. She missed work regularly with her husband,coming to work drunk or high regularly. Her husband stole my van drunk and crashed it on the interstate going the wrong way. Things were tence at work so they were removing me from the schedule gradually giving them my days. I have recently found out that the man that wrecked my van is outta jail & working there again with his wife. I'm not even aloud in the restaurant. I have not done nothing wrong & loved my job as I'm a local here in kylertown. It's not right that these people are getting rewarded for these things & I was dismissed because they were uncomfortable in their wrong doing. Can you help?
Good Morning Rebecca. I am sorry to hear of your circumstances. Unfortunately, Pennsylvania is an “employment-at-will” state. Therefore, an employer may terminate an employment relationship at any time and for no reason. However, you can always consult with an attorney to see if you have a case for wrongful discharge.
