Hello Debra. Thank you for reaching out to us. I recommend reviewing your mortgage contract because how the mortgage company proceeds at this time really depends on what your mortgage agreement states. I also suggest contacting the mortgage loan service and speak with a mortgage consultant regarding the mortgage payment structure. Usually, mortgage companies begin foreclosure proceedings 3-6 months after the first missed mortgage payment.

Debra, we’re happy to contact your mortgage company and attempt to reach a resolution through our mediation services. We’ll contact them with your complaint, ask that they address and provide an explanation. Filing a complaint with BCA is quick, simple and FREE: https://www.checkbca.org/file-complaint I am also including a link to our Resource Guides related to the real estate industry. Our guides contain a lot of helpful information that the average consumer may not be aware of: https://www.checkbca.org/tips/real-estate

Please contact me directly at vantillon@checkbca.org if I can be of further assistance.
