The customer contacted our office on 01/04/2022 for a free estimate for his move from Plantation, FL to Port Saint Lucie, FL. After going over a room-by-room inventory with a senior moving coordinator the customer agreed o the terms of the estimate and electronically signed the estimate on Tuesday 01/04/2022. (A copy of the electronic signature was issued to BCA for their records). As you can see "P**** A. T****** signed, dated and agreed to the terms of the estimate. Also, an IP address and internet browser is provided. On the estimate you can see a breakdown of the estimated charges. The customer was charged by cubic feet. The cubic foot on the estimate is 1,369. After the foreman did a walk thru and checked the items listed on the estimate under the inventory section. The foreman informed him that he had more items then list and that his bill would need to be adjusted to take the additional items. Customer refused to pay the additional cost and instructed the foreman to load the truck up to 1,369 cubic feet mark on the truck. The foreman loaded the truck up to the 1,369 cubic feet on the truck like the customer requested. You can also see we gave an additional discount at the pickup of $275.00. At the delivery the customer s signed a form stating that his items were delivered, they were placed properly in his new home, and he had inspected the truck to make sure all his items were off the truck. (We have issued the following documents to BCA: Electronically signed estimate, Signed Bill of Lading, Signed Waiver Form, Signed Truck Inspection/Walk Thru Form, Signed Credit Card Authorization Form)

We were given an estimate of $5000 or less. Our final total was over $13,000 plus forced to pay gratuity of $1800. They packed garbage and items that they were told not to pack so I had to pay for that space plus packing material. When the drop off was made they tossed my items everywhere and not in designated areas. We have broken items and items they left wrapped in their blankets. The owner is very rude. Has called me a liar. Resolution Sought Refund the extra cost.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent move and providing a clear and specific feedback about your experience with America's Movers. We apologize for the issues that occurred during your move and that you didn't have a better experience with our crew. The details that you outlined in your review do not reflect our company expectations and standards. But I would like to do after reviewing your file is correct a couple of the statements you stated about our company and your move. Wendy & Wally contacted our offices on 10/14/2021 to get a free estimate for a move from Jay, FL. to Summerville, GA. After going over a room-by-room inventory of the items that needed to be move, we provided a free estimate. We have attached the original estimate that was electronically signed by Wally Booker on 11/01/2021. On the estimate you can see that the customer was quoted for 1,836 cubic feet and a packing. On 11/08/2021 Wally & Wendy called in to adjust their inventory. The cubic feet were reduced to 1,431 cubic feet. On 11/19/2021Wally & Wendy called in to adjust their inventory. The cubic feet were reduced to 1,401 cubic feet. At the pickup the driver Andre went over the estimate with Wally & Wendy. He explained that they had more items then listed on the original estimate. After about 2 hours of packing and wrapping furniture up, Wendy told the driver Andre that she would like the entire home to be packed and everything that is not listed on the estimate. Andre explained to Wendy that the price would go up. We have provided all signed forms by Wendy Booker. We have provided a packing material list with a breakdown of everything that was packed. We also have provided a signed waiver form, cargo damage report and a truck inspection report. At the delivery the moving team, they explained at the delivery there was not enough space to place the customers items in the proper areas. The moving team contact our offices and explained the situation. We did our best to make sure everything was unloaded properly. We have never been contacted by Wendy or Wally unregards to any damages. We have no notes or calls showing the customer spoke to the owner. The customer has only spoken to the moving coordinator and dispatch. We understand that you were not completely satisfied with our services. We also appreciate your continued patience and understanding as we have worked with you to rectify this situation. We hope that you are satisfied with the steps that we have taken to address your concerns, as we have done our best to be as thorough as possible. You can contact customer service at 1-888-570-0918 to further discuss this matter. We feel that we did our best to service your move and resolve this issue. Thank you and have a great day.

Customer Rebuttal

We sold our dining set, both bedroom suits and our living room set plus removed the truck and boat transport to reduce price. I have submitted pictures of broken items. As we started unpacking there was a large box with nothing but garbage out of the trash can, a large box with only an empty vitamin bottle in the bottom then packing paper. We have boxes practically thrown under the carport that was suppose to have been in the house and items in the house that went outside. I was told Wally was given a copy of the contract and he did not get one. Driver wrote himself the comment about the service on the contract and when I asked him "what if I don't sign" his reply was "I'll go in and load your s*** back up". They got upset at pickup and delivery and took their anger out on what and how they packed and how they tossed and placed our items. All we are asking for is the $13,000 that was unknown expenses , the way our property was unexcused handled, lies we were told and emotional distress we have been put in.

In our first response we attached a copy of all signed documents by your husband Wally. You instructed the moving team to pack and load your entire home. We do not perform any services without a customer authorization or signature. We have attached (to BCA for review) again the documents signed by your husband Wally. We feel we did our best to make sure everything was unloaded properly. We also feel that you agreed and authorized our moving team to pack and load your entire home. The foreman Andre did inform you and your husband the bill would double and you both authorized it.
