I think bus drivers should be aware of their surroundings a little more and have a little compassion.
I got off bus number 19 and walking up to bus number 11 and right before I got their he drove off. I yelled for him an waved my arms and he drove off. Their was another disabled lady trying to do the same thing. So we had to wait another 20 minutes and my ride wasn't their when I finally got to the location I need to be. I think bus drivers should be aware of their surroundings a little more and have a little compassion. I was wondering with the covid-19 surge why aren't they cleaning the buses? Cherriots stopped cleaning over 2 months ago

Thanks for your feedback, Jeri. I'm sorry you've not had a positive experience on Cherriots buses. It sounds like you had trouble transferring at Keizer Transit Center. Unfortunately, the drivers do have to leave the transit center on time to start their route, or they end up throwing off the schedule for everyone else on that route. That's one reason we offer 15-minute service on both Routes 19 and 11, so when this happens you won't have to wait very long for another bus. To address cleaning, yes we are still disinfecting the buses between trips about every four hours to meet or exceed the governor's order. That has been happening since April.
