I am a 71 year old man who helped the state by taking care of a my 7 year old grand daughter after receiving a call from the DCF at 9pm one night about eight months ago. To date CHILDNET has been giving me the run around about compensation. It appears that the employees at CHILDNET are a group of prejudice characters who gets pleasure making a white man suffer to the point that he will turn over his guardianship to one of the foster parents connected with CHILDNET who do this for a living and couldn't give a dam what happens to the child. I am forced to hire a Nanny as I must work to survive. CHILDNET failed to do a background check on the Nanny which they said must be done even though I did my own background check. The Nanny was fingerprinted and supplied CHILDNET with all the required information and after four weeks CHILDNET still failed to complete the background check. Resolution Sought Compensate me for my expenses like you do for foster parents. Stop playing games and get the background check done in a timely manner for my nanny and sister who has been waiting for months and is a licensed therapist. The big joke is when someone gets arrested the criminal report comes back in minutes but when a struggling kind 71 year old man needs help taking care of his 7 year old grand daughter who was taken away from her dad childnet couldn't care less!
