My complaint is more of an illegal ryder in their contract. HP will shutdown your home personal printer if you do not pay and continue a monthly subscription with them for extra ink even though I need new ink every 6 months or so. Canceling the online subscription they in fact shutdown my home printer until I give them my new credit card information. I do not owe them any money, they just want my subscription then will allow me to use the ink I've already purchased in my printer. Resolution Sought I would like to see them charged with the crime for forcing people to pay them money every month for a product they don't need and if they don't, they shutdown your systems.

Hello, HP has reviewed the customers complaint. The printer isn't disabled, it just will no longer work with the Instant Ink cartridges you were sent under the program's terms and conditions. If you install non-Instant Ink cartridges, your printer will work as it's intended to (barring any unknown hardware issues the printer may have). I purchased a HP printer 5700 from the Target store in Melrose park, Il about 3 mos. ago. On the ink stopped working. I went to Wal Mart and purchased 2 new cartridges. I couldn't get the cartridges to fit in the printer. On 12/18/23 I call HP for help to no avail. After 3 hours and speaking with 3 different agents, the last one Ray Resolution Sought Refund my purchase price of $60.00
