I was trying to register my Sonata in MA after moving from SC

I moved from SC to MA in Jan 2021 and in order to register my leased Sonata the RMV told me I would need a letter of limited power of attorney and a copy of the title from Hyundai Motor Finance . Hyundai told me to send the registry application , a fee for the registration to them and they would handle the rest. MA RMV told me they do not accept documents on behalf of the customer and I would need HMF to send the documents to me. After multiple phone calls , I finally submitted to their request and sent the documents to HMF. They arrived the first part of Feb ; however they never mailed them to MA for more than 3 weeks. By the time they arrived the application had expired(good for only 30 days). Luckily I was able to finally get a corporate representative on the phone after multiple calls and letters to HMF. She finally agreed to send the POA and title copy to me and I registered my car after SEVEN weeks. In my opinion HMF is a poor excuse for a company that should know how to provide good customer services. I have owned and leased their vehicles for close to twenty years, but never again. The way I was treated on the phone , telling me things were rejected with no logical explanation. I never spoke to a representative that was courteous and it seemed like I was the one being unreasonable, not them. I was never given a logical explanation as to why a letter of POA could not be sent to me. In fact, I was even asked to provide a FedEX # to have the documents sent; cost me $46, and all they sent was on page of the title, no back page. Useless. The corporate representative has told me they will reimburse my FedEX charge. Don't understand why HMF treats their customers thus way

Finance & Communications SUCK

They have no way of communicating with us, except for us to call in. During the early months of Covid it was impossible to get through. Now it's easier, but we get nowhere from week to week. They don't solve problems within a call, or even a series of calls. We have made 10-15 calls over 8 months as "instructed by them" at the end of each call - to call back and follow up in____ days or weeks. I've requested documentation of the events occurring and am refused any documentation to prove that I'm working to resolve the mistake THEY made. I shouldn't have to resolve the mistake THEY made. We will never finance a lease or vehicle through them again - for sure! Never in over 30 years of buying cars, have we experienced such incompetence.
