BCA's Summary and Analysis:

Customers allege dissatisfaction with service and failure to fulfill the contract. One customer states medical records received were in Spanish, contained inadequate information, and the company failed to disclose the adoptive child was deaf. In another case, the customer claims the company provided false information about an attorney's name, and never sent a requested video. Another complainant alleges her adoption took two years instead of one year as advertised. The complainant contends that the delays were due to the company's errors. One other customer alleges it took more than two years to complete the adoption because of errors made by her agency in the paperwork and the customer had to work directly with the Guatemalan government and the US Embassy to straighten out the errors.

The company responds to one complaint by explaining they do not guarantee the health of any child which is indicated in the contract, medical records from Guatemala are expected to be in Spanish, and the customer could have hired a translator or declined the adoption prior to immigration. This customer disputed the response and explained that the child's disability was not evident until two months after the adoption process was completed and translations should have been provided. All other complaints remain unanswered.
