Worse Utility Company. A total RIP OFF to consumers.

06/20/2023 Liberty Utilities of the Los Angeles California region keeps raising rates on consumers, often, more than twice a year. Just as one increase is approved, the company submits another rate increase request. Liberty is charging customers ridiculous service fees. Consumers have no choice between Liberty & another water company. In my Opinion; Liberty Utilities is price gouging consumers, their customer service staff are often rude, unpleasant & treat customers as a inconvenient, annoying, a bother to them! My Opinion is based on experiences with Liberty Utilities & the constant increases in their pricing. I am a disabled elderly living with one other disabled person who does not work; I am struggling to live on a fixed monthly income. We live in a 1,200 square foot house, BOTH front yard & back yard is 80% concreted in, with a few planters with drought tolerant plants, "NO GRASS" Both side yards are concreted in as well. Only 2 people live in the home & rarely shower-"we sponge bath ourselves to safe water & to keep the Bills low" WE continue to conserve water, cut back on water use each billing cycle because the amount due keeps increasing! What are we supposed to do...turn off our water completely & do without? This Company is Impossible to satisfy. Liberty Utilities has an insatiable desire to raise rates on consumers, price gouge, charge too many service fees. I hope a group of consumers files a Class Action lawsuit on this Utility Company. ENOUGH is ENOUGH

RIP OFF

Unfair practices, gouging their customers. Charging ridiculous service fees which I refer to as JUNK FEES. Service fee alone total approximately $66.00 before water usage charges. For two months billing most pay up to $400.00 claiming their meter shows they’ve us 135,000 gallons of water.
After contacting Liberty and the PUC for resolution we are now hiring a attorney for a Class Action Suit...Liberty Water charges the highest water prices compared to surrounding cities. Before you buy your new house make sure Liberty Water isn’t your water company or you’ll be leaving reviews like this one!
