A good service that was once free is now charging too much for a bad service

Rock.com email was once a great service. It has now changed. There are better, new free email accounts out there. Watch out for this website - I don't think they are honest or practice good business.

1 star rating for a bad paid for service and horrible customer service. Very sad - it's like new owners bought it and made it into a crap website and drove away all of their customers. I know I had a lot of friends sign up for the service because of me, and now we are all changing our emails for similar reasons.

DON'T WASTE ANY MONEY ON THIS SITE - IT'S A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, We are definitely not scamming anyone and we have not sold our company. We had a very ad-supported basic webmail service (akin to 90's webmail) and based on member/subscriber demand made significant upgrades to our system which include IMAP so mail can be accessed through mobile devices and/or desktop mail clients such as Outlook. IMAP Service is also Ad-Free. We switched mail providers which also resulted in less SPAM coming into member inboxes. We increased the amount of mail/data storage significantly. We also have dedicated technical support available 24 hours a day that we did not previously provide. These are just a few of the items we upgraded to. This all was a very costly upgrade which required us to move from a free platform to paid subscription platform in order to meet the demand of our customers/members/subscribers. We are not a huge company like Gmail, Hotmail,Yahoo, etc that can offer these services for free. We do allow for cancellation of subscriptions to our mail service and there is even a trial period where you can receive a full refund of the service if you are not happy with it. Rock.com Support
