I would like to address an issue that we have been struggling with towards our Sapphire timeshare that was purchased through the GEOHoliday company. This has been a disaster filled with misleading information and dishonesty by sales agents. We joined as timeshare owners in August of 2021, and since then, we have not received even a single benefit from this so-called "ownership." We signed the agreement due to the extremely pushy and aggressive behavior by the sales agent. We never encountered such an experience. During our ownership, we have been faced with a host of issues that have only added more disappointment and frustration as we were promised availability for key vacation destinations, but these promises have been short and have not happened. The maintenance fees have been continually increasing, while we have received extremely limited and unsatisfactory service. My husband, a United States Navy Veteran, is not even listed on the timeshare contract, yet it continues to affect us both greatly. We have already addressed our issues to the BBB and Attorney General, but still the company has done nothing to help relieve us from this additional stress and strain.Something more needs to be done, so please assist. Resolution Sought Release from Contract

I contact this company, Sapphire Timeshare Cancellation on 1/6/2022 about them canceling a timeshare for us. This was a huge mistake; I should have believed everything that was said about them. They said my husband and I both need to agree for them to work on our behalf. I told them that I need to confirm with my husband first, because he still wanted to keep the timeshare. They asked for my credit card to put down $3000, I told them not to charge my card until I've confirmed with my husband, and they said that's fine. They sent me a document to sign, in order to have a conversation with my husband and I the next morning. I asked again, if my husband refused, are they going to charge my card and they said no. But they can still represent me and get my name off the contract, which I was ok with at first. As soon as I signed the documents, his tone changes, I didn't like that. The next day 1/7/2022, my husband and I spoke to them. My husband refused to work with them because he didn't believe they would represent our best interest. My husband verbally requested a cancelation and refund. I sent an email, less than an hour after the conversation, asking them to revise the $3000 charge. I did not get a response from the company. I called the following business day Monday 1/10/2022, I spoke to someone who said that they would get back to me within 48 hours to process my refund. Less than 24 hours after contacting them, they are refusing to refund my $3000 and no service provided. Resolution Sought Refund the $3000.

Sapphire strongly denies all the allegations in this complaint. This complaint, as characterized, is false, misleading, and plagued with contradictions. First, we acknowledge the one fact that is accurate, Ms. Grady contacted our office on 01/06/22 for assistance with cancelling her timeshare contract. Ms. Grady was provided a free consultation conducted by our team of experts and explained her rights and options. Upon information and consultation, Ms. Grady, acting out of her own discretion, requested to engage our services, and agreed to a one-year service contract that she electronically executed via DocuSign. At the same time, Ms. Grady authorized payment in the agreed amount and provided a credit card for payment. There was no discussion about holding off on payment, or returning to the contract at a later date, as Ms. Grady alleges. After reviewing the recorded phone calls, I can confirm that the representative Ms. Grady spoke with was clear and upfront with her about the terms and conditions of our representation--prior to her signing the contract. The agent reviewed the contract in detail with the Ms. Grady and even cautioned her to hold-off if she was unsure, but Ms. Grady proceeded ahead. It appears that this is the issue here, Ms. Grady acted without her husband's permission, and he is upset over it. In the days after, Ms. Grady sought to cancel the service contract offering no explanation other than her husband was not in agreement. All requests and subsequent phone calls from Ms. Grady included her husband demanding to cancel services, which were managed and handled by our management and legal departments. Then this complaint ensued. Our position remains unchanged. We will honor the one-year contract you signed. Please follow-up with your case manager with the requested information. Please note that as of today we have also responded to Ms. Grady's chargeback dispute pending with the bank. All our phone calls are recorded and available upon request.

Customer Rebuttal

Wow!! You seem to be working so hard to keep my money, which I don’t understand. The sell agent stated, I quote “after months of working on the client’s behalf, it’s hard for the clients to request their money back”. Which is understandable if they have done any work on my behalf. They took my money less than 24 hours and refuse to return it. I’ve never felt so violated in my life, until now. My civil rights are being violated and it need to STOP. The decent thing to do, is to return my money back and we can both move on. This is very personal to me, because it's my money and I worked hard for it. What is your reason for trying so hard to keep my money? My husband was able to get ahold of the timeshare developers and agreed to settle the account. We seriously do not need your assistance, there is nothing for them to help us with right now. They ghosted me and accused me of lying. But they never responded to my calls or email. I operate on principle; Right is right and wrong is wrong. What you're trying to do is wrong. Please provide the recording, I would like to review it’s with an attorney as well. Please provide a non-edited version of the recording.

Our position remains the same. Client must take responsibility for her actions. She signed a legally binding contract with our office for one year. We spent a lot of time and resources through the consultation process, sign up and welcome call. We allow the client to take their time to review our contract and provide it up front, so they have every opportunity to consult with her Husband prior to signing. We stand committed to completing the services guaranteed in our agreement. Thank you.
