Spectrum Billing Services (SBS) operates a national pay-per-call telephone network offering incoming callers entertainment and information services. According to the terms of service on these pay-per-call transactions, the calling party is advised that if charges incurred for a call transaction fails to settle on the credit card or debit card presented by the caller for payment, then the party will be billed directly for the service provided. The charge at issue involves a call transaction made to the pay-per-call services on June 17, 2023. The call originated from the telephone number (562) 38x-xx67. The caller from the same telephone number had accessed the services previously by presenting for payment one of two Visa debit cards (one ending in 0988 issued through JP Morgan Chase Bank, NA and one ending in 1925 issued through Frontwave Credit Union). The June 17th transaction at issue was the only transaction where payment was declined by the Visa debit card presented for payment by the caller. A billing for the outstanding June 17th charge was sent to Mr. Daugherty on this one charge where the transaction charge was not covered. Mr. Daugherty is requested to contact SBS via its toll-free number (800) 616-7833 in order to address the charge for the June 17th transaction. The outstanding charge is valid and owing.

Spectrum Billing Services (SBS) operates a national pay-per-call telephone network offering incoming callers with entertainment and information services. According to the terms of service on these pay-per-call transactions, the calling party is advised that if the charge incurred for a call transaction fails to settle on the credit card or debit card presented by the caller for payment, then the party will be billed directly by SBS for the services provided. The charges at issue and billed directly to Mr. Santos involve call transactions made to the pay-per-call services where the charge for the particular call did not settle on the payment card presented. All calls originated from the telephone number (714) 23x-xx35. There have been several calls made to the services since February 2019 from this telephone number. The majority of the call charges settled on the payment card that was presented. Over this timeframe, the caller presented several prepaid cards for this purpose and a few Visa and Mastercard cards. It is those transactions when the payment card did not settle the transaction that SBS is seeking payment from Mr. Santos. Mr. Santos is requested to contact SBS via its toll-free number (800) 616-7833 in order to resolve the outstanding charges which are valid and owing. In the meantime, the telephone number from which these calls originated will be blocked from further services.
