Helped with VA paperwork - good job. Managed payments of a home care provider for about a year. Very slow payment - they charged at a rate of $26.45 an hour to do nothing except pay the home care provider's monthly invoices. The service provided by the home care giver was $20.00 an hour - so they were making more than the provider. I terminated the contract about 6 weeks ago and they still haven't sent any financial statements as to how much money we have in the account. For what they do after the VA benefit is approved by the VA it is a waste of money. Now if they can just close out the account and provide financial statements. As of 7/27 still no word from this company on final financial status - no contact at all.

Hi Bill, Thank you complimenting the good job we did helping your mother-in-law with the VA paperwork. We are so pleased that through our VetAssist Program, she received the full VA Aid and Attendance benefit amount (as do almost all of our clients). She was also able to begin care right away without paying us until her entitlement and VA funds arrived. Of course, all home care cost is covered by the VA Aid and Attendance benefit, so there's no out of pocket costs. However, we are only charging her $26.50 per hour, which is much less than the $46.25 you indicated. This amount falls within the typical market rate for home care in Florida. (Rates vary by location nationwide.) The last date she received care was 5.26.2021. We're waiting for the final invoice from our contracted provider who delivered care before we can determine any amount owed and we apologize for that delay. If your 2-star rating was based on the misunderstanding about your rate, and you wish to adjust your rating of us, we hope you will let BCA know. Thanks again and we hope this clears up any misuderstanding.
