California Contractors Bond Increases to $15,000

California contractors should be aware that beginning January 1, 2016, the cost of a Contractor’s license bond increases from $12,500 to $15,000. After December 31, 2015, the Contractors State License Board (“CSLB”) will not process bonds or cash deposits of $12,500 and the license will be inactive. California Employers Prepare for New Paid Sick Leave Law

California business owners should be prepared for a new law pertaining to sick leave that takes effect in 2015. The Healthy Workplaces/Healthy Families Act of 2014 (AB 1522) calls for ALL California employers to provide at least three days (24 hours) of paid sick leave per year.
